Cherhill Preschool was formed in 1978 as a sessional playgroup in our village hall. We relocated to our own premises in the grounds of Cherhill C of E School in 2006 after 18 months of fundraising and hard work. In 2019 we merged with Heddington Preschool and we are now able to offer childcare across two outstanding sites.
The team of fully trained staff, led by the Manager, work to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We follow 'The Curiosity Approach' in our setting where we believe we are 'an extension of home not a watered down school''
Children are offered a world of learning opportunities such as - walks around the village, growing plants, learning about nature and our environment.
The preschool runs PE sessions, music/singing time, we also run forest school sessions in the primary school sensory garden.
In our current premises we are pleased to be able to offer full day care for up to 27 children aged 18 months -5 years, during term time and year round care can be offered between the two settings.
We invite you to come and look around with your child so that you can see what fun our children have learning through play.
